Giacomo Mantovani is an independent award winning producer, director and writer, based in London since 2009. Since the very beginning of his career, he have been dedicated to producing independent films and videos that focus on important issues. Many of his films have won awards and all of them have been screened at a multitude of international festivals.
Graduated in Political Science in 2005, Cristina soon shifted into film industry. Her passion for cinema drove her to relocate in London in 2009, where she started producing film projects in collaboration with Filmmaker Giacomo Mantovani, with whom she founded Avant-garde Pictures, and produced awards winning short films such as “Political Asylum” (Jury Prize), “Adamant” (Public Choice Award), “The Dark Side of the Mind” (nominated best Sci-Fi at Limelight Film Festival 2015) and “History Lesson” (Second Prize Ikan Fly), as well as the short documentary “Plastic Garbage – Scourge of the Seas” shot in 4K entirely with a smartphone OnePlus One, lately nominated best short documentary 2016 at MoMo Film Festival in Zurich and selected to various Mobile Phone Film Festivals in USA.
